20VOCELECAFE Cooking - Eley Park Café

The Café operates every Friday during school terms with morning teas being served from 10.30am followed by lunch, with the Café closing around 1.30pm. Fare includes items such as toasted sandwiches, light hot meals, cakes, biscuits and of course coffee and tea.

The Café provides the opportunity for people with a disability and/or ABI to gain basic hospitality skills including food preparation and front of house service. In addition the Café provides a pathway for the participants to further study, volunteer or paid work.

Participants learn about food planning, preparation, cooking, hygiene and customer service. A qualified trainer in hospitality will provide all necessary basic theory & practical training for students to assist in running a community café.

For invoicing of fees, NDIS participants must be either plan managed or self managed.

*ACFE Funded places can only be offered to learners who are Australian citizens or hold permanent residency. Proof of citizenship eligibility is required upon enrolment.
