This FREE session will be helpful both to older people (and their families) already living in residential aged care or accessing home-based aged care services and those not yet involved but who would like assistance navigating the system.

This practical label reading FREE workshop will be run by an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. Find out what to look for and make informed healthy choices. Take home resources will be provided.

The workshop will cover:

- What to look for on a food label

- Which food claims can be trusted

- The recommended cut-off points for sugar, fat & salt

- How to identify different names for sugar and fat

This FREE preventative program will involve a one on one session and then 5 group sessions with a dietician/exercise physiologist, each of about 1.5 hours duration. The sessions may be run during the day, or in the evenings, depending on what works best for the majority of the participants. This class will promote stress-relief to secondary students by encouraging them to explore the benefits of mindfulness and yoga breath work in order to restore wellbeing and a positive attitude.
