Interested in writing short stories, opinion pieces, your memoirs or even a novel? The Avenue Writers are keen to welcome new members who are interested in writing and would like to develop their creative writing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

This is a critique group specifically for those who write for children and teens. The function fo the group is to support each other as fellow writers, critique each other's work and share industry knowledge. The group is made up of both published and unpublished writers of fiction and non-fiction. Newcomers are welcome but numbers are limited.

This is a friendly, discussion-based class which nurtures a greater understanding and appreciation of poetry. Material provided.

Join award-winning poet & children's writer, Catherine Bateson, for a weekly poetry workshop. This informal class is designed to nurture & inspire beginning writers and broaden & consolidate the craft of more experienced writers. A combination of hands-on writing exercises, regular rotating workshopping and lively discussion create a creative and supportive environment.
