Notice of Annual General Meeting

Dear Member

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Avenue Neighbourhood House @ Eley Inc (Association) will be held as outlined below, to consider the specified business.  [Clause 33 of the current Constitution 22 May 2024]

 Avenue Neighbourhood House at Eley Inc will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 25 August 2026 at 4pm.

Members and friends are invited to attend the AGM which will be held at the House, 87 Eley Road, Blackburn South.  Voting will be limited to financial members as at 10 August 2026.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  1. Confirm the minutes of the 2025 AGM held on Tuesday, 12 August 2025 [Clause 30.4(a) of the current Constitution 22 May 2024]
  2. Receive reports on the activities of the 2025 operational year from: [Clause 30.4(b)i of the current Constitution 22 May 2024]
  • President
  • Treasurer (including audited financial reports [Clause 30.4(b)ii of the current Constitution 22 May 2024]
  • CEO

A later email will provide a link to an online version of the 2025 Annual Report (paper copy will be available at the AGM).

  1. New Constitution – for resolution [Clause 33.2(c) of the current Constitution 22 May 2024]

It is proposed that the current Constitution of the Association be replaced with a new Constitution, in accordance with the following special resolution:

“That the Constitution of Avenue Neighbourhood House @ Eley Inc (Association) be replaced with the Constitution provided to members with the Notice of Annual General Meeting dated 25 August 2026, on and with effect from the date of this resolution or such later date as this resolution is deemed or prescribed to take effect on the granting of approval by the Registrar of Incorporated Associations.”
